Rob Carr Pty Ltd employs more than 120 specialised staff and project managers, whose hard work and innovative approach enable us to continually deliver complex and demanding projects.

Here are profiles of some of our dedicated team members.

Barry Crowley, Construction Manager

BARRY CROWLEY, CONSTRUCTION MANAGER

Barry has led Rob Carr Pty Ltd operations in Western Australia for more than 10 years. Under Barry’s leadership, the team has installed hundreds of kilometres of gravity, pressure and vacuum main sewers, eight pumping stations and retention tanks on various infill sewerage projects, and delivered microtunnelling projects direct to the Water Corporation and private contracting firms, and constructed numerous civil structures (including deep shafts and concrete caissons)

A key component of Barry’s role is client and stakeholder interface to ensure their needs are met, in order to ensure the smooth delivery of each project.

ANDREW SCARR, CONSTRUCTION MANAGER

Andrew has more than 15 years’ experience in the water and wastewater industry and has years of experience in wastewater infrastructure construction.  

His intimate knowledge of trenchless techniques and his extensive experience has enabled him to successfully deliver several water and sewerage infrastructure projects including construction of gravity and pressure sewer mains, various civil structures (including deep shafts and concrete caissons) throughout Australia.  

Andrew has a proven track record of leading and motivating multiple construction teams whilst at the same time ensuring that key client and stakeholder needs are met, ensuring the successful delivery of his projects.


Iain Lamb, Construction Manager

IAIN LAMB, CONSTRUCTION MANAGER

Iain has more than 20 years’ construction management experience in Australia and offshore markets in areas of trenchless and trenched pipeline construction, major structural work, underground electrical transmission construction, road works, marine works and mineral processing facilities.

He is experienced at managing projects in various contract models including Design and Construct, Alliance and Construct Only. This has ensured that Iain is well equipped to deliver value for money and project innovation.


Darren Madden, Project Manager

DARREN MADDEN, PROJECT MANAGER

BEng (Hons) Civil; DipEng Civil and Transportation; CertEng

Darren is currently managing the drainage component of the Green Square Trunk Stormwater Project in Sydney.

His experience in construction of drainage, gravity and pressure wastewater infrastructure as well as pressure water pipelines has been a significant asset to Rob Carr Pty Ltd.

Darren is team and delivery focussed, and manages a number of multidisciplinary civil and tunnelling crews and specialised subcontractors on his projects to ensure successful delivery for all work disciplines. Darren plans and coordinates project logistics and implements individual and multiple work scope items particular to civil and tunnelling works.


Katie Harbisher, Quality Assurance Officer

KATIE HARBISHER, QUALITY ASSURANCE OFFICER

Diploma in Quality Auditing

Katie has over 15 years of onsite experience advising on and managing systems, quality and documentation on large scale construction projects throughout Australia and New Zealand.

Since joining Rob Carr Pty Ltd in 2012, Katie has played a key role in obtaining and maintaining ISO accreditation (ISO 9001 for Quality, ISO 14001 for Environment and AS4801 for Safety) of the company’s management system. With her extensive experience in managing the systems used to control and maintain quality and documentation working on major projects such as the Airport Link Tunnel and the Clem 7 Tunnel projects, she also understands construction practices and the importance of meeting or exceeding set targets.


Damian Coward, Site Supervisor

DAMIAN COWARD, SITE SUPERVISOR

Diploma of Project Management, Certificate IV (Civil Construction Supervision) and Certificate III (Civil Construction)

A valuable team leader for civil construction and trenching works, Damian possesses excellent knowledge and in-depth experience in trench construction and pipe laying, relocation of multiple services and general structural concrete construction works. Additionally, Damian has successfully coordinated long length trenching operations through dense urban environments under strict traffic control requirements.

Damian has effectively led civil and trench construction crews on a number of challenging projects including the Green Square Stormwater project in Sydney, NSW, the Alphington Sewer Project in Melbourne, Victoria and the Mermaid Beach Stormwater Upgrade (Stage 3) on Queensland’s Gold Coast.
