Project Description

The Infill Sewerage Program is a Western Australian Government initiative administered by Water Corporation (Water Corporation), which has enabled more than 95,000 households in metropolitan and regional areas of the state to access to the central wastewater system. Since the program launched, Rob Carr has delivered 36 contracts across Western Australia, including the City Beach 2A and 2B projects. These two contracts involved the installation of 20 km of gravity sewer lines (ranging from DN100 to DN250, PE 100 and PN12.5), and 1.73km of pressure main pipelines within Perth’s coastal suburb of City Beach. Works also included construction of a wastewater pump stations and all property connections. As the Principal Contractor for the Construct-Only projects, our team worked closely with Water Corporation and the Lead Designer throughout construction, providing design innovations and constructability advice, which enhanced project outcomes through reduced community impacts (to 502 properties) and client cost savings. Rob Carr’s willingness to work with all stakeholders to maximise benefits through innovative ideas and reduce impacts to the environment and the community was the reason our Client-endorsed award submission won the Construction Excellence Award for projects valued between $5 million to $10 million at the Civil Contractors Federation Western Australia Earth Awards 2018.
